Donna & Tom
Exploring the rest of our website will give you a fair idea of who we are and what we're about. However, here's a brief bio,
along with a few photos:
Tom: I'm a Native Texan with a strong Scottish and German lineage. Born and raised in and around Houston, I've led a very eclectic
lifestyle. Prefered music is country but I listen to classical, opera, polka, bagpipes, Celtic, and older rock. Most of the time I
can be found wearing the typical hat and boots that we Texans are so fond of. There are times, however, when I'm at any of the Scottish
events I will be in kilt (and proud to be so). Some would say that I am a little mixed up, to which I'll not completely disagree, but
life is never dull or boring. Working in the maintenance field for Texas A&M University keeps the days from getting too dull either. My
hobbies include bowling, homebrewing (ales, meads, and wines), gourmet cooking, bass fishing, and lately computers. Learning to design a website
has been interesting and frustrating to say the least. A lot of late nights too. I'm still a beginner at this so any constructive comments
would be welcomed.
Donna: Born the same year as Star Trek (you figure that out!), I'm originally from the South Texas coast, but moved to the B/CS
area shortly after a bit of college, and East Texas has been home ever since. Being raised a country kid and a Christian has instilled me with certain
basic values: remembering where I came from and how far I've come, earning everything I have -there are no free rides in life!- responsibility for my
own actions and choices, being straightforward and direct with people (to the point of being downright blunt sometimes), and appreciation for the simpler things
in life, like creating things with my own hands, a good book, the drama of a nighttime thunderstorm, and puppies! Ok, so I'm a sap, too! I also have a
very quirky sense of humor. Classic comedy like Abbott and Costello, cartoons, bad puns, and "politically incorrect" humor all tickle my funny bone. Know
a good joke or story? Send it to me - I'll probably have one to share with you in return!
